Description
Four workbooks, one small step at a time
Most self-help asks you to dig into what is going wrong. The Small Steps workbooks ask a different question. When did things go a little better this week, and what were you doing then?
Kita Tabachka, a BACP registered therapist, wrote all four using solution-focused brief therapy, the approach she uses with clients. Pick the book fitting today, choose one chapter, and type straight into the page.
What you receive
- Small Steps Together: talking and listening, arguments, trust, closeness, after a betrayal, living apart, family and in-laws, everyday us
- Small Steps to Self-Worth: the inner critic, people-pleasing, perfectionism, boundaries, comparison, imposter feelings, confidence, self-compassion
- Small Steps for ADHD Minds: getting started, focus, time, big feelings, rejection sensitivity, home and clutter, sleep and energy, being kind to my brain
- Small Steps Through Burnout: exhaustion, overwhelm, saying no, work worry, rest, difficult people, switching off, what matters
A solution-focused self-help workbook bundle
Every chapter runs over eight pages with the same tools. You write your best hopes and answer the miracle question. You list three times the problem showed up and did not take over, then look for what those times share. A 0 to 10 scale shows where you stand today and what one point higher would look like.
Each chapter then gives you 10 reflective questions and 6 well-researched techniques, from body doubling and if-then plans to Gottman’s soft start-up and a self-compassion break. Tick Tried when you test one and Helped when it makes a difference.
Which workbook to open first
Each book starts with a starting map. You rate eight areas from 1 to 10, and the lowest score shows where to begin. Couples often start with Together and then move to Self-Worth. If work has taken over your evenings, open Through Burnout first. For relationship decisions after an affair, Can We Get Past This? goes deeper.
